The New Decade! - 2010!
5th January 2010
Hi there everyone
It's been the usual crazy-busy summer, although it feels like 'real' summer has yet to happen. Lots of exciting things happening for Ink at the moment, including new articles coming through for e.nz magazine on the Antarctic Wind Farm project and the heritage Carter Observatory refurbishment in Wellington. I was fortunate to receive a research scholarship from Massey at the end of 2009, so have been madly collecting old advertisements for that. And most exciting of all, I have been asked to present the findings of my pilot research into Transmission Gully engineer-media-public dialogue at the Australian Science Communicators' National Conference in Canberra in February. It's bound to be summery in Australia by then!!
I'll let you know how it all goes, but in the meantime, enjoy the New Year, be kind to each other (and yourselves :-)), and think positive. 2010 is looking great.
Karen
